AXIS was approached to assist the owners/developers of this iconic resort to bring their resort back to reality. Extensive development possibilities had been studied that would reposition this well-known Catskills resort back to its former glory. Earlier efforts to incorporate a Casino did not materialize but was replaced by the addition of a multi-sport youth facility that will position this 500 acre golf resort as the pre-eminent youth sports destination in the East.

After careful study by AXIS and its partners, we assembled a team, investigated the resort brand options, revised the masterplan, structured the real-estate options and built the concept for a year round 500 room,  sporting conference resort with 328 mountain villas and guest chalets, a signature golf course, tennis centre, ice rink, snow sports, ziplines and equestrian facilities.

A comprehensive financing plan was developed, target investors were secured and efforts to secure the funding are still ongoing.

The project, when complete will become part of the overall reinvigoration of tourism in the Catskills, only a 90′ drive north of Manhattan.

Already well established for 25 years in a number of global hotel & resort chains as well as events and festivals, the company meticulously designs, produces and customizes the entertainment and activities for each location and provides the talent and training necessary for each locale.

Capitalising on the strong belief that Hospitality and Entertainment are inextricably linked, AXIS is considering the potential for ARTS CIRCUS to be introduced startegically across Canada will contribute to the relaunch of the tourism market in the Post-COVID era. The Circus Arts in Canada are well-recognized across the country and internationally through their world famous export, Cirque du Soleil for which AXIS Hospitality’s David McMillan previously held the position as Vice President of their hospitality development initiative developing concepts for Cirque-inspired hospitality destinations.

Compatible in resorts, town squares, summer and winter festivals, swimming pools, ice rinks and street festivals, the Art Circus concept also suits special events, conventions, corporate meetings and fitness facilities.

AXIS is investigating the possibility of launching this initiative in a major resort destination and integrating the entertainment into existing activities.
